SHA256 Checksums & GPG Signature Verification
SHA256 Checksums
Every release includes a memreduct-3.5.2.sha256 file containing cryptographic hashes for all distributed files. After downloading, verify your file integrity:
- Download the SHA256 checksum file alongside your chosen package
- Open Command Prompt or PowerShell in the download folder
- Run: certutil -hashfile memreduct-3.5.2-setup.exe SHA256
- Compare the output hash with the value in the .sha256 file
- If hashes match, your download is intact and unmodified
GPG Signature Verification
Binaries include a GPG signature file (memreduct.exe.sig) in the application folder. The installer package also ships memreduct-3.5.2-setup.exe.sig for verification before installation.
